Lash policy generator

Answer a few questions and get a full booking policy, a short version for your Instagram highlight, and the checkbox line for your booking page.

A template, not legal advice. Rules on deposits, fees and client forms vary by state; check with your state board or a local professional if you're unsure.

What the policy covers

The generator writes the sections most lash artists use: a deposit and what it pays for, how much notice you need to cancel or reschedule, what happens when someone is late, what happens after a no-show, what counts as a fill, how to prepare, and how fixes and payment work.

The first four are the ones that matter on day one. If you don't take deposits, choose "No deposit" and the policy is written without them.

How to use it

Paste the full policy on your website or booking page, where clients see it before they pay. Put the short version in an Instagram highlight called "Policies". Add the checkbox line to your booking form, so every client agrees before she books. Repeat the reminder line in your confirmation and reminder texts.

  • Say "applied to your service total" every time you mention the deposit. Many clients read "deposit" as "extra charge".
  • A deposit that moves to the new date when someone reschedules in time is fairer than "non-refundable", and clients accept it more easily.
  • Apply the policy the same way to everyone. If you waive it, do it as a one-time courtesy and say so.

Charging a no-show fee to a card

If you also want to charge a fee to a saved card, the client must agree to it in writing before the appointment, and your booking or payment tool has to support it. Check your provider's rules before you promise it in your policy. Our guide to lash cancellation policies explains this step by step.

Questions

How much should a lash deposit be?

Lash educators commonly suggest 25 to 50 percent of the service, or a flat amount for full sets and a smaller one for fills. Pick an amount that would cover your time if the slot stayed empty, and always apply it to the total.

Is 24 or 48 hours better for cancellations?

Forty-eight hours gives you a realistic chance to fill the slot; twenty-four is friendlier and common for fills. Whatever you choose, use it the same way for everyone.

Is this policy legally binding?

It's a template written in plain English, not legal advice. Rules on deposits, fees and consumer contracts differ by state, so check with your state board or a local professional if you're unsure.

Is anything I type saved?

No. The policy is written in your browser as you type. Nothing is sent to WIPE or stored.
