Lash extension pricing calculator
Put in your own costs and time. Get the minimum price for a full set and a fill, and where every dollar of it goes.
How the price is worked out
For each service, the calculator adds four things: the supplies you use on it, your share of the week's fixed costs for the time it takes, the pay you want for that time, and the card fee on the final price.
Fixed costs (rent or suite fee, booking software, insurance, other weekly bills) are shared out over the hours you're actually with clients, not the hours you're open. If you're booked 25 hours a week and pay $350 a week in fixed costs, every hour with a client has to carry $14 of them.
The card fee is taken from the price itself, so the calculator divides by what's left after the fee rather than adding the percent on top. The menu price is the minimum rounded up to the next $5.
What it doesn't include
It doesn't know prices in your area and doesn't guess them. Use it to find your floor, then look at what other artists near you charge for similar work and experience. If the floor is above what your area pays, the fix is usually time (faster sets, more booked hours) or costs, not working below cost.
- Taxes: "pay per hour" is before taxes. Set aside part of it for income and self-employment tax.
- Tips: shown separately, because they're the client's choice and shouldn't be counted on to cover costs.
- Training and kit you've already bought: add a few dollars a week to fixed costs until they're paid off.
Questions
How much should I charge for lash extensions as a beginner?
Start from your minimum: what covers your supplies, your share of rent and fees, and a fair hourly pay for the time a set really takes you. Beginners are often slower, so the same price pays less per hour; raise your price as your speed improves.
Should a fill cost half of a full set?
Price fills by the time and supplies they take, not as a fixed fraction. If your fill takes 75 minutes and a full set 150, half is close; if fills take you longer, price them higher.
Does this include tips?
No. Tips are shown separately as what a 20% tip would add, because they're optional for the client.
